I’m a cool weather person - heat and I don’t get along well. But I’m ready for spring. How about you? I’m in the slow, laborious process of trying to renovate our vegetable garden, and it’s difficult when it’s still this cold. Not to mention we just had 11 days of clouds and rain.
Peanut the Wonder Cat is still with us! She reminds me daily that assuming she’s at the end is a fool’s game. She just keeps going. Skinnier and unkempt (she doesn’t groom herself anymore) but we love her no matter what. There is a lesson from the universe in there … probably several.
I watched Speaker of the House Mike Johnson on a Sunday morning talk show. Lies, lies, and more lies over a GOP-manufactured border crisis and the impeachment of a cabinet secretary as performative theater for the MAGA crowd … plus his lips were orange. I wonder where they’ve been? He’s covering for Trump, who would always prefer to harm the country than do it any good if it helps his enemies.
When asked what Trump could do in service to America, Ann Coulter said, “Maybe he could die?”
I never thought I’d crush on Ann Coulter, but here we are.
It’s what I do …
“He hoped love was forever … because he was.” How’s that for a tag line? I just approved the audiobook for this, narrated by Sean Rhead (our third book together), and I’m in promotion mode. So … get the Kindle version here for $1.99!
Still triggered after all these years
I ran a Facebook at for LGBTSR.com, my website for older LGBTQ people. Someone commented, “Repent.” Nothing else. I know this smug, deluded imbecile thinks this kind of thing gets him a Buy One Get One coupon from Jesus to spend as he pleases in heaven, but it still makes me bristle, which is really his point. He gets to tell himself he’s doing his best job for god, commanding strangers to repent while he snacks down on a bag of BBQ corn chips and Bud Light with the label hidden. Plus he has the pleasure of being a troll, in the absence of anything more he can accomplish in life. Bless his clotted little heart.

My two-year term on the board for the Mystery Writers of America-NY Chapter has begun. I’ll be spearheading the mentoring program, as well as serving on the comms committee. Here’s a flyer I did today for a March event. Not bad, if I say so myself!
